The Sunbeam Team helps direct sunlight to the leaves so the tree can make its food and give us the invisible and magical "oxygen" that we need in order to breathe.
Chlorophyll is a pigment that gives leaves their green color. Using energy from the sun, water, and air (carbon dioxide), chlorophyll helps leaves make their own food. Leaves also put oxygen into the air for us to breathe. This is called photosynthesis.
