It is a Liquid Amber (Liquidambar) tree, also called a Sweet Gum tree.
It can grow as high as 100 feet, has leaves shaped like green stars with five points (lobes) and turns red in the fall. The leaves have a sweet smell and its fruit, that grows in clusters (where the seeds hide), are small and look like little ornaments hanging from the tree. They have been called "sweet gumballs" by kids.
No wonder Henry likes this tree!
